HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN

First Step

What is sin?
Sin is any practice, words, system, lifestyle or action contrary to the will of God.
Sin is in two fold. Imputed sin and personal sin.
Adam’s sin is the inherited or imputed sin. See genesis 3:1-6. Eating the forbidden fruit after he was forewarned of the consequences of that shall follow disobedience. Thus Adam became the first man to practice:
• Disobedience
• First person to doubt the word of the sovereign God
• The first person to rebel against a given law

IMPUTED SIN
It was unfortunate that Adam and Eve never had offspring before their fall and eventual expulsion from the Garden of Eden. Offspring only came in after their sin and thus they genetically passed along that sin to their offspring. The bible explains this in the book of Romans5:12-21, ‘wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. For until the law the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that have not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come but not as the offence so is the free gift. For through of one many be dead, much more the grace of God and the gift by grace, which is the one man, Jesus Christ, has abounded unto many 16] And not as it was by one man that sinned so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, the free gift is of many unto justification. For if by one man’s offence death reined by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore as the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation, even so by the righteousness of one came the free gift upon all men to justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one many shall be made righteous. Moreover, the law entered that the offence might abound, but where grace sin abounded did much more abound. That as sin has reigned unto death even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ.’

Because of sin no man is found worthy to stand before a righteous God for righteousness demands that sin must not be found in the presence. Judgment equally demands that sin must be punished hence the lord had to be punished for our sins.
Dear readers do not think again for one moment that you not sinned for the sin was inherited that condemns us before God.
Basically, the other kind of sinning is the ones committed through ignorance, omission or commission.
Presumptuous sin psalms19:13
Secret sin psalms19:12
Sin against the Holy Ghost Mathew 12:31-32.

BUT AM NOT SUCH A BAD PERSON
The Self righteous person. Who is self righteous? Now I want you to know dear friend, there is a different between a good man and a saved man. A good man is he that regards is good works, and contribution to humanity and generally seen as a philanthropist. A saved man is he who hides under the finished works of salvation and thus he is in Christ [2corinthians5:17] All self righteous man shall be judged by God standard of righteousness and if they passed then they are save indeed, but no one can pass the test for all have the imputed sin in him. God made Jesus as the one who takes away sin as was aptly proclaimed by Jesus forerunner, john the Baptist, behold the lamp of God who takes away the sin of the world that is all humanity.]
The bible further explains:
“While we were yet sinners, [being formed in our mother’s womb Christ died for us”. The wonder here is that for all that is to be born or has been born the finished works on the cross of Calvary was to take away their sin and God finds this acceptable to in his sight. All we have to do is to personally appropriate this fact to ourselves in confession and work in it, believing, same to be true without doubting.

Second Step

What is confession?
Reading: Ezra9:5-15, mathew18:15, james5:10, Nehemiah: 9:2, psalms51:1-23, luke12:8

Confession is an acknowledgment that you are born a sinner and have indeed, sinned, too.
Confession is necessary in order to experience God’s forgiveness. Without confession of sin we can not stand in the presence of a righteous God. Sin, before God is like grim and dirt indeed worse and no father wearing white clothes for an important occasion would like to carry or embrace his baby awash with fasces, but would want him cleaned up before the wonderful warm embrace.
God’s righteousness demands that nothing unclean should stand in his presence and He indeed, made provision for all sin to be washed away for he loved us. See john 3:16, ‘for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believe on him shall not perish, but have everlasting life’.
In order to understand more about the different meaning of confession there is need to see the three different meanings:

METAMELOMAI: this simply means a change of mind
METANANOEO: this means of change of mind
METANOI: This is what is requiring of a Christian; this is not a change of decision, but a change of mind and purpose. Abhorring all that is displeasing to God.

BUT HOW DID JESUS PAID THE PRICE?
All dirty clothes needs detergent or bar soap to be clean again; some even needed extra cleansing medium like bleach to be made clean again.
Sin like dirt and grime needs special agent to remove it from our lives. Just like you can not use a knife to clear a field of grass, but a mower or a cutlass so too, you can not use any other medium to remove sin, but Blood.

Why blood? When you work you earn wages so too, if you sin you earn death finally and if you do not want to go that way of death there must be another thing that is perfect and can take your place. Before the advent of the promised savior there was need to be righteous [like earlier said] and God missing us his children yet not compromising sinfulness made a temporal provision to hide our sin from his awesome presence: A lamp without blemish, spotless and the blood was used as sacrifice by the priest during the time for atonement. The blood could not really cleanse the sin, but it was a temporal thing to gain admission into Gods presence. It was done yearly. the blood contains life and when the blood is slain like the detergent it cleanse us temporary from our sin. When God finished with his plan he sent his son to come and pay the price as a lamp to stop the temporal and make it permanent.

; For the blood of bulls and ram could not take away our sin it took Jesus, the perfect man to do that. he had to come like man incarnate go though the temptation like Adam and if he would not sin then is he qualified to go and pay the price, the ultimate price. He lived like any other man was tempted like any other man, yet without sin at the age of thirty God approved him and john the Baptist announced him. Since then the sacrifice of lamps is stop because Jesus has paid the permanent price by taking the death place of the sinner [you and me] ‘whosoever believe on him should not die, but have everlasting life john3:16b.

Those who would not accept this wonderful sacrifice would have to attain God’s standard which is impossible and thus stand in condemnation already see john3:18 says. ‘he that believe on him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he has not believe in the name of only the begotten son of God’.
Confession also means to openly admits what you belief or what whom you exercise faith in as used in the book of Luke 12:8,’also I say unto you, whosever shall confess me before men, him shall the son of man also confess before the angels of God’.

Third Step

A MEMBER OF GOD’S OWN FAMILY
‘but you are a chosen generation. A royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of  him who hath called you  out of darkness into his marvelous light’.[1peter2:9]
There is always a requirement before one gets admission into an institution of higher learning. You become a member of that school afterwards.

Your confession [see the previous chapter incase you are flipping through] admits you into the family of God. Does that mean you should deny your earthly family? No, but you now belong to a noble family called a royal priesthood and you are entitled to the blessings that accrue to any member of that family. Another meaning of this is that if your physical household has a curse operating in your family for example, untimely death, backwardness, lunacy, you are gradually delivered from such as you have become a part of another family. May be as you read this you have been wondering what is wrong with your family as everything seems to be going wrong towards one particular shameful and evil trend.  You are no longer part of it. The bible further explains in the book of Galatians 3:13b,’Being made a curse for us for it is written curse is every one that hangs on the tree,’

GROWTH ATTRACTS MORE.
There once lives a man who discovered oil in his grand father’s property and made it big.  He had a lot of property and was well respected in the community he lived for he was a philanthropist. One day his only child, a son, asked him why he seems to be frugal with him and he replied, son, not until you learn to handle more I can not give you more that you can handle. It is dangerous for you and for me. The son understood a lot in those few words and from then on decided to be more responsible, serious minded and dutiful. Thus his father called him and gave him the sport car he has always asked for saying, ‘now I now you are matured enough to know phow far you can drive on a bind not to go over despite what the speedometer says’
So, to in our new family we are required to grow in order to get more of the blessings. It is not enough to be a member of such a wonderful Household of faith without getting all that we should get.

WANT TO GROW.

1PETER2:2,’As new born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby’.
Any thing that grows feeds and any thing that must grow well must feed well. Just as physical food is required to grow so too, is spiritual food required to grow spiritually. In the above scripture, one of the Disciples of Christ, called peter encouraged the new Christian what to do to grow in the way of God. The milk being referred to here is the word of God, the bible. The bible tells you the mind of God concerning all things; personal or otherwise. Daily reading of the scripture will help you to more God more like a son would understand his will of his father.

The bible is the simplest way to know what you must do to gain God’s favor and blessings and ultimately, life eternal. As you read, read with your heart in it after praying before opening it that God should help you to understand what he will for today. Try to remember what you read and carry out instructions if so required. The role of your pastor or your Sunday school teacher will play is Important. Do not hesitate to ask question for this indeed, will help your growth in the right direction.James1:19,’wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.
Verse22, says ‘but be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only deceiving your own selves’.
Hebrews10:25,’not forsaking the assembling of yourselves together as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more you see the day approaching’,

You must find a living church after you lay this book down. If at a loss do not hesitate to contact me on the address you find on the last page of this booklet; following the instruction that will help us determine easily your location and get you hooked up, no matter where you may be. Get a bible and do not feel like a stranger for it is your father’s house. Discuss, share, pray. You can not grow much on your own without being in the mist of like minded people; this will aid your growth in no small measure like a coal burns when together, but when alone it will gradually go out. Further more challenges will come and you need the prayers and encouragement of your brethren to grow. Many can even share with you about their experience when new to the fold. This will help you a lot as they will guide you and let you know some things to expect in your new found life.

THE GREATEST GIFT YOU HAVE IS FREE OF CHARGE!
When you gave your life to Christ via confessions of your sins and repentance you also accepted the free gift of God, His Spirit to dwell inside of you. This is to enable live a victorious Christian life if you encounter persecution of trials. Read the book of revelation chapter 3 verse 20. God is directly speaking to you not another person; the book was written for you not another person or race, just you put your name there. It is an eternal assurance. Christ comes into you inform of the Holy Spirit. He will guide you. Read chapter john16 verse 13. He will comfort you when there is no one to. Read the book of acts 9 verse 31. This same Spirit will lead you. Read romans8 verse 14.

ENDEARVOUR TO BE FULL AT ALL TIMES!

The day you receive the spirit it was given to you in a measure. Anything in measure has a capacity therefore, always Endeavour to full this measure at all time. We call this to be full of the Holy Ghost. Jesus was full of it right from the very beginning see Luke 4verse 1. If you want to be always lead by the spirit then you must be filled at all time!
Finally here is the best advice I could ever give to any human being alive. Check it out in Luke 10 verse 27
